A look at design and styles of architecture throughout the years

At Home with Susanna Salk and Liz Lange at Grey Gardens

Few homes elicit the same obsessive intrigue as Grey Gardens. Made famous by the late David and Albert Maysles’ 1975 documentary, the house was subsequently featured in an HBO remake with Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange, as well as endless parodies, most recently Fred Armisen and Bill Hader’s hysterical Sandy Gardens.…

Back to the Land

While we just celebrated the birthday of our own “land” this weekend, there seems to be a more widespread undercurrent in the air. From the longstanding farm to table movement, to a renewed interest in home made and artisanal products, where the connection from maker to buyer is transparent, we have slowly progressed to the point where the fantasy of a life even closer to nature is becoming a reality for many.…

Garrow Kedigian Ode to an Emperor at Kips Bay 2016 Show House

They frequently structure their spaces with distinctive defining elements and in many cases have a strong working knowledge of design history. This certainly holds true for Garrow Kedigian in his dramatic Kips Bay 2016 Show House space.…
