While I continue to edit my photos from Paris, I bring you a quick Deco Off preview. Among the showrooms I was able to visit during the show, an abundance of themes shone through. While bright colors and pattern are still driving forces, there was also a focus on neutrals, but with an emphasis on natural materials with noticeably more texture. Embroidery continues to be popular and metallics were included as both strong and subtle additions to textiles throughout.
Favorite collections included Pierre Frey, who covered all these categories in style throughout their lines (Pierre Frey above and new Natecru, below)
Dedar, who melds technology with craft in their fashion inspired fabrics,
Hermès, whose signature design excellence shows through everything they create
Manuel Canovas, whose vivid color sense drives their collection
and Creations Metaphores, whose three distinct lines encompass an exquisite range of traditional and modern textiles. So stop by next time when I will be able to share more from Deco Off!
These are gorgeous. Even at a lower price point, the French have some beautiful fabrics.
