Posting Pink

I missed the big day for posting pink last Friday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. But, inspired by Mrs. Blandings, who initiated the annual campaign, and all the other bloggers who participated, I believe late is definitely better than never. Although you’ve heard this a million times, I must say it again – it is so very important to support this worthy cause and to keep up with your regular exams both at home and at the doctor’s. I lost a dear friend to this disease several years ago who said she had been too busy at work to get her regular mammogram. There is never a good enough reason not to go. So, enough said. In support of all my brave friends who are breast cancer survivors, I dedicate this pink post. In celebration, I think a little bling is always a good thing!

  1. I was told that I wear “pink” well! I think I need to pass the word on for some pink jewels. I love how pink can automatically make everything look pretty!
My sons were full of intrigue with the football time wearing pink!

    • pve – pink is indeed very flattering – the trick is finding the right shade. My son also asked about the pink gloves at last week Giants’ game. Great way to get the boys educated!

  2. It’s never too late to think pink!!! And, this post was worth waiting for. My favorite kind of bling is a big ‘ole ring. And the Verdura one you highlight (3 stone) is on my fantasy list. Love all the other baubles — but maybe if I’m a really good girl…someday! :)

  3. Love this blog! and, so I don’t forget.. Happy Birthday ~ may all your birthday wishes come true

    • JBA – you are too nice – so glad you like the blog – and let’s not rush it – I still have a week and a half left!
