While this is traditionally a time to be thankful, this year seems especially meaningful as we are all so much more aware of the value of home as a place of sanctuary and solace. Let us take advantage of precious time with friends and family to safely gather and enjoy the comforts of good food and convivial company at a beautiful table!
For my table this year, I wanted to incorporate the traditional warm colors of Thanksgiving with the watery blues inherent to an island home. Tilton Fenwick’s Sissy fabric as a tablecloth set a perfect stage for a combination of blue and deep orange. I love the texture of Deborah Rhodes‘ handwoven abaca placemat with her deep poppy colored linen napkin which has a subtle golden sheen.
I think a little hint of metallic is always appropriate at the holidays and the napkin rings pick up the glints of gold and copper in my china. And Flowers on Chestnut had an abundant choice of florals to complement the theme!
