2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse Finale – Fun Room
Designer Libby Langdon, below, was assigned the largest and perhaps most challenging space at the showhouse. The only unfinished room in the house when she first saw it in June, she transformed the almost windowless 1,150 square foot basement into an inviting multipurpose retreat.…

Katie Leede‘s rooms always have an alluring artsy edge with an interesting narrative. 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse Pool Area
My visit to the showhouse included the evening of the opening night party. And thanks to the beautiful weather, everyone congregated in the back on the terrace, lawn and by the pool.
The pool area was enhanced by designer Tara Seawright, who created a casually chic space with several sitting and lounging areas.…

2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse Front Garden
Over the next several days, we will be finishing up our look at the Hampton Designer Showhouse. For the weekend, we’ll be spending a little time outside. 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse Guest Retreat
There was something not quite definable but so very appealing about Tammy Connor‘s bedroom at Traditional Home‘s 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse. It immediately brought back the best memories of summers past – the feel of cool ironed sheets against a sunburned back, watching fireflies light up in a pierced top mason jar on my nightstand or reading with a flashlight under the covers long after even my late summer bedtime.…

2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse Den
Tucked between two larger rooms on the main floor is a lovely den. While most of us envision such rooms as secluded enclaves, designer Kate Singer rose to the challenging task of decorating the open space, visible from both adjoining rooms and overlooking the terrace, pool and backyard beyond. …

2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse Dining Room
Through the elegant entry to the right you can glimpse a sea of color. Segueing from the refined aqua of Robinson’s room, we enter a bold ode to the oceanic hue. Local design team Jennifer Mabley and Austin Handler of Mabley Handler, focussing on projects in the Hamptons and North Fork, wanted to create a dining room for the Hampton Designer Showhouse that was fresh and fun, all about the relaxed yet stylish entertaining that is so ubiquitous in these parts.…
