At Home in the Garden with Carolyne Roehm Video

Carolyne Roehm is as at home in the couturier’s atelier as she is in the kitchen, in the studio or behind the lens, but nowhere is she more passionate than in the garden. In her 12th book, At Home in the Garden, Carolyne shares her lifelong love of nature as expressed in her glorious gardens at Weatherstone, her magnificent Connecticut home.…

Lake Como and Beyond | Italy Redux

There is only so much I can put in a post without it becoming overwhelming and unwieldy. While I hope you enjoyed the full view of Romeo Sozzi’s world in Susanna’s and my recent video, there were so many other moments and images I was unable to include.…

The World of Romeo Sozzi and Promemoria

Designer Romeo Sozzi sees the world through a lens of beauty, passion and creativity. Continually curious, endlessly inspired, he carries a notebook and pen wherever he goes, never knowing when the creative spark will ignite. Living is an art and Romeo is a master of translating its essence.…

Outstanding American Gardens | A Celebration 25 Years of the Garden Conservancy

In 1988 “horticultural enthusiast” Frank Cabot had a vision. I would rather be sitting on the lawn at Migis  seeing the water skiers come in summer inspiration - water skiing at Migis Lodge lazing near the docks docks at Migis or watching my husband and daughter duel it out on the courts from the shade of our cabin’s porch.…

Discoveries in June

If there is going to be a lull in the summer season, it certainly hasn’t started yet. Between interesting shows, travels and online updates, it’s hard to keep up with all the recent discoveries in June. I am a longtime fan of French photographer Brigitte Lacombe‘s work and for the first time in her decades long career, she is exhibiting her work in New York.…
