At Home in London with Nina Campbell

At Home in London with Nina Campbell

With an international following and commissions around the world, Nina Campbell is one of the industry’s most well known and respected designers. And while you may know Nina’s work and products, what you may not be familiar with is her fabulous wit and sense of humor. Bat an eye and you miss a pithy quip. Her energetic, insightful and amusing banter is both entertaining and enlightening. So I am delighted you have the opportunity to join me and Susanna for a visit with Nina at home in London!

Since her first job at nineteen with John Fowler of Colefax and Fowler, Nina has expressed her love of color and layered looks in her sophisticated and stylish interiors. And from the moment you approach her front door, you know you are in for a colorful treat!

While Nina was trained in the classics, her work is as youthful as it is timeless, constantly evolving with fresh new ideas that she also incorporates into her ever expanding product lines. From furniture and lighting to china and glassware, accessories and gifts, Nina is a one stop shopping source, fueled partly I suspect from her own love of tabletop and entertaining – the glasses below recently added to Nina’s online offerings.

But other than family, there is no greater love for Nina than her unbridled affection for her dogs. And so, while she juggles her shop, her busy interiors business with writing books and lecturing around the globe, Susanna and I were especially pleased that Nina agreed to write the foreword for our book At Home in the English Countryside: Designers and Their Dogs!

Not only does Nina adore her own furry family members, but she liberally incorporates canine themed accessories throughout her home and champions pet causes near and dear to her heart.

She makes The World more Beautiful, Homes, Gardens, & Boats !!!

  4. This is a master class in making the absolute best of a small space with sliding doors, mirrors capturing light, bespoke furniture, every inch brilliantly considered! And those luncheon plates- so adorable! And the china/glassware closet filled with pretties- a dream! It goes to show, you don’t need a lot of space to create a luxurious and pampering nest. Thank you, ladies- this was an uplifting start to the day here!

  5. I just love this. I haven’t been able to watch the last few, due to who knows what, and this was a breath of fresh air and garden for the spring. She’s delightful, and Susanna is ALWAYS delightful. Thank you from my little quarantine!

  6. Love this glimpse into her home. So beautiful and elegant, just like Nina, but unexpectedly cosy and love the bits she has incorporated from her designer friends (sliding glasswork, the William Yeoward cabinet…). I’d love to stay in that guest room!! Thank you so much for creating and sharing this.

I MET NINA in San Francisco at THE FALL ANTIQUE SHOW I think the same show I met the TWO OF YOU!!!
MY house is a number 16.I am told often that one does not EXPECT what is behind the facade of the house!Same as NINA’s house here!I have a passion for animals too and have a pet PIGGY who lives in the home with us!A Long with a CARDIGAN CORGI and a cat named THEODORE!OR THEODORABLE as we call him…………
THANK YOU for these they certainly put a SMILE on MY FACE!
I too have a MAGNOLIA TREE that was the BEST PART of THE HOUSE when we moved here from Florence, ITALY 26 years ago……………….

  8. Totally fabulous. Love that ceiling and the mirrors. I’m betting there is so, so much more of her house to show! Dying to see more of the guest quarters. Great video as always, and a much needed shot of normalcy in all the craziness going on now.

  9. Thank you so much for sharing Nina’s home. I love her use of mirror in so many unexpected places. Stacey and Susanna, you truly bring us the most amazing homes and the people that live within.

  10. A charming lady with a lovely home in London. Mirrors, seating and gardens. Yes! It all says friends and views are important. Such a wonderful peak in to Nina’s personality and thought processes. Ideas of light and darkness, and the joy of entertaining. Thanks for sharing.
