Ralph Lauren Home Spring 2017
Twice a year, Ralph Lauren Home transforms their expansive Chelsea headquarters into livable vignettes to showcase their latest collections. Last month I visited to see the three distinct spaces they outfitted for Ralph Lauren Home Spring 2017. Having recently returned from my summer in Nantucket, I felt right at home in Half Moon Bay.…

Out and About from Christie’s to Castaing
Now in the full throttle of fall, it is always a challenge to visit all the wonderful events, openings and introductions on the calendar. This week I sneaked in a few especially worth noting. Tuesday night was hopping and I started at jeweler Mish‘s exquisite downtown shop to celebrate editor Mario López-Cordero’s Veranda Retreats,

Peter Hone Collection at Christie’s Interiors Sale
Of all the auctions this month, none could be more charming than the Christie’s Interiors Sale of the Hone Collection in their South Kensington outpost. Many of you will recognize the interiors of Christian House, Peter Hone’s Soane-like London home, as he and his home have been profiled many times over the years.…

Yet that’s exactly what Katie Ridder and Peter Pennoyer did. And not only did they accomplish this feat with rare and exceptional style, but they chronicled the before, during and after in their beautiful new book, A House in the Country.…

Inside the Design Library with Beacon Hill at D&D Fall Market
“Textile designs serve no practical function, but they can transform an environment, tell the story of a culture, symbolize a tradition, establish unity, convey a personality, or express a mood. Culturally, they allow us to recognize “our tribe” and give one a sense of belonging.” Peter Koepke, Owner and Director of The Design Library, explains the power of print in his new volume, Patterns: Inside the Design Library.…

While most of the new items presented are not available until after the holidays, I have included a few favorites from past seasons for those looking to augment their tables for upcoming fall entertaining.…
