Je suis arrivée! While it may have been gray for my arrival, it is already feeling festive for the start of Déco Off on Thursday. I thought I would post a first peek at Paris through my lens. Since time will be tight on this trip, I will try to share shorter glimpses of the activities as we go along. Of course you can always follow along on Instagram for even more timely updates.
The iconic lanterns of the show are are looking festive in the charming place de Furstenberg above.
Pierre Frey‘s windows at their left bank outposts feature old and new from their various lines above and below.
While not yet completed, you can already tell that Jim Thompson‘s vignettes are going to be incredibly chic.
Naturally we had to make the requisite visit to Ladurée for lunch,
where everything looks as lovely as it tastes.
The afternoon was spent organizing and unpacking at the Pop Up, where it felt like Christmas unwrapping all the chic wares. A sneak peek below.
A short evening walk
and meal at a local favorite
put the perfect cap on our first day! Stay tuned!
It all looks so festive and one can feel the excitement coming through .. What fun!!! Jenny
Oh joy. Thank you for sharing. We are all bobbing along on your waves of divine decor.
What fun. And gorgeous Jim Thompson! Look forward to more.
Really looking forward to your posts from Paris!
It’s going to be fun, fun, fun! Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the rest of the week. Congratulations!
What may I tell my clients ? Does this mean a shift from “neutral” to beautiful and festive wallpaper, paint, fabrics for the interiors?
I had the pleasure of attending Deco Off last year (my first visit to Paris). Wish I was there again. So nice to see your photos! I still have a swatch of beautiful Jim Thompson silk front and center in my design office to remind me of that week.
Keep the great photos and news coming!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
So gorgeously rich. The electric blue chair is fantastic and unexpected…..my kind of supper. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Cannot wait to see more wonderful images! Please tell us the name of the restaurant where you had supper. We are going to Paris in May and would love any recommendations. Thank you!
Your post brings back happy memories of last year’s Deco Off trip for my wife and me. The showrooms, food, wine… Making new friends and establishing new relationships and resources. Evening walks. Visits to local museums, etc. It brought new energy to our work.
Cheers,
John
Lovely! I hope to run into you at Maison & Objet! Need the name of that favorite local place for what looks like amazing cheese and charcuterie boards!
Best,
Michelle
