As you know, I was entranced by the Cooper Hooper Set In Style Van Cleef show. (For any new visitors, please see my original post on the show from last Tuesday.) I am excited to be able to share with you this video of Patrick Jouin, the designer of the exhibition, giving a gallery tour explaining his ideas for the space. It gives you an insider peek at this magical installation. The museum is lovely, jewelry is gorgeous, installation fabulous and he’s not so bad either!! So for all of you who won’t be able to get to the Cooper Hewitt, enjoy! And a final piece on the show coming next week including hopefully a wonderful interview!
This was fun to see, thank you. Bloggers always amaze me with all the information they find and this is no different. Have a wonderful weekend!
Patrick put together such an elegant setting for the Van Cleef jewelry show…listening to him reminds me of why I love design so much….

With your first post of this show, I had a little bit of trouble imagining how glorious it is. Now, the splendor of it all is spell-blinding. Thank you so much.

Oh Q – best lecture I ever attended was at the MAD museum where Patrick Jouin kept me in rapture explaining his design for a cutting board and for a and pot or Alessi, and how he designed the chairs for the new restaurant in the Eiffel Tower based on the weight of the new construction. it was 2 hours of bliss that I wish had lasted 2 days… You nailed it again!
This show looks amazing, thank you for sharing the video. I have never been to this museum and will visit it when I am in New York this summer.
Cooper Hewitt must be a fabulous place. I’ve never been either, though I’ve heard of it. A must see for sure. xx’s
Very cool! Have a great weekend! xo
What a treat indeed to see behind the scenes of this kind of event. My kids and work for Houston’s Natural Science museum (I should say volunteer) and we were able to go behind the scenes and give some of the tours of the travelling Narnia exhibit. We had so much fun.
I love Cooper Hewitt museum. So many inspiration and lovely modern design. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video…looks like an amazing show. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
Great video….happy weekend….xv
What a cool opportunity to hear from Patrick Jouin!
I hope the exhibit is still there when I visit!

I feel as if I’ve just glided into the elegant world of ‘To Catch A Thief’ with your last several posts…and I feel a bit ‘Bond-ish’ too.
What a beautiful exhibit, and to have in the Carnegie Mansion just put it over the top…thank you for sharing all of this so divinely!
