As the weekend marking the unofficial end of summer winds to a close, here’s hoping you all have a wonderful Labor Day with great memories of the season. I’ve included a few of mine that I haven’t yet shared. From my favorite spot in Maine, Migis Lodge, their classic Chris Craft that cruises the lake and transports guests to island picnics.
And from Nantucket, the Brant Point lighthouse that greets you coming and going.
Views from my morning walks along the bay.
The fun entry and secret door to this year’s Town Pool pop-up shop.
Our friends’ handsome Hinckley ready for drinks on the docks.
Classic grey Nantucket shingles peeking above this year’s lush growth.
our roses making progress earlier in the summer
and a fun evening in the rose garden at the Chanticleer in Sconset.
Enjoy your fleeting last days of summer!
Stacey, thank you for this wonderful montage of summer photos of our favorite island!!!
So classic and beautiful! Wish I was on Nantucket but I’ll be happy to relax in Chicagoland ‘burbs instead on this lazy day.
What a dreamy post. This has been an extraordinary summer indeed. I can’t wait to stretch the last few days of it out on the Vineyard starting tomorrow!
Such a charming place and love seeing it through your images. We just spent the most wonderful summer in Beaufort and are sad to see it end. Routine and a faster place life will be replacing those long, relaxing beach days. Hoping your September is wonderful!
Thank you, Stacey. We love our Tykona II, lingering from summer into fall.
Hello…I too love your beautiful island! We’ve been lucky enough to come there twice, hopefully we’ll get to visit again soon. I love the trip there, anticipating the arrival at the dock, the excitement of everyone disembarking once we get there and are all ready to make memories on your island. If you’re ever interested in coming to Canada (your dollar goes a long way here right now!). We have a gem of our own near us called Niagara on the Lake….please look it up sometime.. Thanks again.
