I’m afraid my obsession for all things tabletop is no secret. The tiny butler’s pantry in our current abode was never quite adequate and I have commandeered nooks and crannies throughout my home and garage to house my never ending collections. The New York Gift Fair was a sea of temptation including favorite brands and new discoveries. One label I have long admired is Julian Mejia. His beautiful linens, woven placemats and fashion forward napkins rings are carried in upscale establishments across the country. I loved the chic graphic of these napkins.
The handsome bordered style could be dressed up or down for a variety of occasions.
and this stitched border looks so snappy with a beautiful monogram
The picot edge is a modern classic, looking rather fabulous in orange naturally
and this charming rickrack edge would be perfect for a soigne summer soiree.
Mejia also carries a selection of Liberty fabrics made into lovely napkins
as well as pretty and practical trays
There was a wide variety of woven mats in great colors, including his signature celtic knot
and other simpler geometric patterns
The napkin rings were the jewels of the collection. From fashion inspired tailored ones
To my favorite orange and blue gifts from the sea
Stop back tomorrow as we check out more table top inspiration from the Gift Show.
Last week, we were away and guests of dear friends – at every single meal there were beautiful linens, place mats and napkin rings. Wonderful touches enhance a meal and time sharing a meal at any table!
