Blogfest Day 1

What a fabulous gathering this was today. Every touch point has been well organized and entertaining. From the moment we entered the incredible Hearst tower, it has been a day to connect with old friends and make new ones.

Friends Lori Gilder of Diary of a Renovation, Leslie Carothers of The Kaleidoscope Partnership, Coryanne Ettiene of Housewife Bliss and Tamara Matthews Stephenson of Nest by Tamara. Putting faces to twitter handles and blog personalities has been exciting and gratifying – for as we have all discussed, there is nothing quite like face time!

From lunch high up in the Hearst tower where House Beautiful publisher Kate Kelly Smith introduced the event.

to the panel discussions by the magazine editors, it was a full and energizing experience.

I will be bringing you more coverage soon of this landmark event.

  1. I knew I would feel pangs of jealousy when I saw pictures from blogfest and sure enough I was right…but glad you are enjoying and it sounds and seems like its been a big success so far. I so plan on being there next time but being a new blogger, found out about it too late. Enjoy and I look forward to hearing lots more!

  2. It sounds like you are having a great time!! Your tweets have been so informative and I’ve also watched some of the Live Stream! Look forward to more posts… fun to put faces to names! ; )

  3. So happy your covering this. I couldn’t attend because Larry and I are taking a much needed getaway for our (23rd!) anniversary.
    Looking forward to reading more.

  5. Just loved meeting you at this event, and really looking forward to seeing you in September. Naughty me did not take a single photo the whole time, so this is a lovely recap of the week — thank you.

    All the best, Coryanne
