A big thank you to Dominique Browning who, on her blog slowlovelife, cites Quintessence as one of the four blogs she has been following lately. I didn’t even realize until one of my readers congratulated me on the mention. Coming from such a highly respected, experienced editor, I consider this high praise indeed. Dominique, as I imagine most of you know, was, among her many other accomplishments, the editor-in-chief of House & Garden for thirteen years and the author of three books including the recent Slow Love: How I Lost my Job, Put on My Pajamas, and Found Happiness, which if you haven’t already read, I highly recommend. It is a beautifully written, touching and funny read. And I recommend her blog as well, where you can read the post entitled Editor’s Picks, which mentions Quintessence – thanks again!
Congratulations! That is indeed high praise….you should feel so proud to be recognized in this way!!!

Elizabeth – thank you for both comments – you are too kind!
Stacey: You deserve it. I’ve been down the rabbit hole of your posts, many, many times. I concur! Off to High Point!
Best,
Liz
Wow – what an honor! To be singled out by Dominique not only for your blog’s beauty, but for its brains – I have to say, I completely agree with her review!
liz and buzz – thank you both! I was indeed honored.
Your blog has a lot of substance to it Stacey and is fun to read. I’m glad to see it recognized also by a person that is so discerning as Dominique Browning, but it comes as no surprise. Of all the shelter magazines in the US that are either gone or remain, H&G was the top one for me.
Thank you Harrison! And I still mourn H&G.
