I have followed the trajectory of Oomph ever since they established their stylish Connecticut based brand over seven years ago. After selling exclusively online and to the trade in their High Point showroom, Oomph Greenwich brings their colorful tailored style to the public. Now everyone in the area can easily add a little Oomph to their homes.
In a generous space accessed from the rear parking lot in between Circa Lighting and Waterworks, almost all the Oomph products are on display. Displayed in lifestyle settings, it is easy to see how so many of these pieces could work at home. Decked out in a very quintessential color combo, the Chelsea Desk and Edgartown rectangular tray show off their signature lacquer colors in style.
The showroom will be the first place where they introduce new designs and products such as the enveloping and supremely comfortable Lyford Wing Chair
or Oomph’s new collaboration with Big Ass Solutions’s Haiku fans. Here high style, energy efficiency and smart controls come together for fashionable form and function.
New lighting includes the large indoor/outdoor Saybrook Lantern with its bold horizontal stripes
and the elegant Savannah Chandelier with its feminine curves capped by a nature inspired canopy of leaves.
The new Easton secretary offers the best of both worlds. Enjoy plenty of work space and organized storage and then hide it all when guests come to visit. In addition to Oomph offerings, paintings from New Canaan artist Daphne Chapin fill the space, inaugurating their new “artist in residence” program.
A selection of favorite design books abound as well as a curated selection of accessories including vintage Hotel Silver barware and large scale hurricanes.
The back area is a chic retreat featuring my favorite faux bois paper from Nobilis, a new line of upholstery offerings and recently introduced Lyford Nesting Coffee Table.
Of course it wouldn’t be an Oomph space without a lacquer backgammon board!
The low version of Nina Campbell’s What Not table for Oomph flanks the couch with dashing details and a selection of accessories.
The latest in Oomph lacquered case goods is the Manhattan Chest with Dividend featuring new Custom X pulls, ample storage and the optional top drawer unit.
With frequently updated products outfitted in a fun selection of colors and upholstery options like this great Cowtan and Tout stripe below, Oomph Greenwich will require regular visits –
because as we know, everyone needs a little Oomph – even Oscar the #oomphdog !
