What a fun day I had at the shows yesterday! I’m sure you all know by now that Mercedes Benz Fashion Week has a new home at Lincoln Center. Everyone seemed thrilled with the new venue – there was lots more space for attendees, an entire computer “pit” for the dedicated fashion bloggers and evidently much more room for the behind the scenes people – make-up artists, dressers, hair stylists etc. And the temporary structure even created an outdoor garden lounging area which was very popular.
I had been invited to the Nanette Lepore show (reviewed next), so had always planned on attending yesterday. But in the meantime, my friend and favorite personal shopper, Linda Levy from Richards in Greenwich, asked me if I would like to join her for any of the shows. Her husband, Peter, is the senior executive VP in charge of global fashion at IMG (the company that produces the shows). So for all of you who love MB Fashion Week, you have Peter to thank. In any event, I of course jumped at the chance to see the shows and hang out with the always entertaining and lovely Linda. We saw Michael Kors and then later in the afternoon, Milly.
