Combining her background in vintage textiles with her training in leather work and free hand machine embroidery, Ellie Macdonald has elevated the traditional art of embroidery to a contemporary high end trade. First meticulously drawing each piece, she then embroiders them on a Vintage Irish Singer and Juki freehand machine and finishes each by hand.
She produces small batch limited productions of her covetable and immensely popular patches and has branched out into collaborations for interior, fashion and editorial pieces. Happily for you readers, today (starting at noon EST – 5 pm in London) she is having one of her rare sales of patches. But hurry, they’re sure to sell out quickly.
