In my opinion, the most beautifully made contemporary flatware, meticulously handcrafted in France by family run company Alain Saint-Joanis, who have been making exceptional cutlery since 1876. Through a multi-stage process handled by the expert Alain Saint-Joanis craftsmen, each set is forged, hand-polished and hand-assembled in house.

I have been in love with this Riviera pattern ever since I first saw it at the Dior Home Boutique in Paris almost 10 years ago. Featuring an elegant sculpted olive wood handle, the upper section can be fashioned from either 33 micron silver plate, as shown, or 18/10 stainless steel.
