Moonlighting at New England Home

Since 2005, New England Home Magazine has been showcasing great regional architecture and design. Its upscale approach to inspiring and wide ranging projects, makes it an essential read for all those interested in New England style. From the coast and islands to urban and mountain settings, each issue invites us into a carefully curated selection of beautiful homes across our six states.

From this feature on Eric Rosenberg and Michele Kolb‘s restoration of a classic colonial Nantucket home (photographed by Michael Partenio).

to well known architectural designer Louise Brooks and husband Ned’s charming shingle style house, around the corner from me in Rowayton (photographed by Tria Giovan)

to the sensitive renovation of Sandy and David Goodkind’s seaside summer house in Stony Creek by architect Tony Terry (photographed by Michael Partenio), we are treated to insider views of both the creation of and life within these beautiful homes.

I was thrilled when editor in chief Kyle Hoepner asked if I would like to contribute to the magazine’s blog, so please join me for my first installment at this well respected site here.

  1. BRAVO kiddo! It is so exciting to have something you have written in a publication isn’t it? It is forever your byline and will always stand as work you have done. Doesn’t get any better than that. Now, go and rest on your laurels.

  2. It is a treat to look at local houses , I really enjoyed the tour and congratulations on being part of New England homes.
    Have a great Thanksgiving!
ps A new treat for design fans, Linda O Keefe (design editor of now defunct Metropolitan home) will be launching her latest book: Brilliant on december 7th at Interieurs between 5:30 and 7:30. Hope you can make it!

  3. Stacey, how wonderful! Can’t wait to hop over a read your contribution. I love all of these spaces – especially the blue and white in the kitchen. We have family in New England, and the style of the region influences my home, too.

  4. love the interior of this first home..I see a little of post and beam in the first image…how nice to have a regional publication that showcases such fine interiors and architecture….

    Best,
    Ann
