Fashion Fix for the 4th

I think dressing on the 4th of July is always fun and relatively easy. White pants or a skirt are the perfect base for any combination of red and/or blue on top. I adore stripes and own many variations on the theme. There is a plethora of colorful tees and sailor striped tops that could complete any celebratory outfit. So let’s take a look at a few fun accessories that can complete the look!

I love Dannijo’s studded stingray cuff – it’s the perfect shot of color for a  great dress me up or down look.

You can never go wrong with denim. The combination of the fabric with the tailored styling ensures this Prada bag would be a versatile staple for a summer at the beach.

The question is what WOULDN’T these adorable Lanvin flats go with?

Save your skin with this charming and protective extra wide brimmed Skipper sun hat.

On white or navy, this striking cincher from Oscar de la Renta will accentuate any wasp waisted figure.

Everyone in the family will want to borrow this classic cotton scarf from St. James.

This small Tinhan Givenchy hobo will fit everything from your essentials to your point and shoot to document all the fun!

I love the slightly vintage feel of these lovely Christian Louboutin peep toe flats (on sale).

And for those toes peeping out Nars’ Jungle Red is the perfect shade for the holiday!

ToCarry everything to the beach in style with this J Crew tone on tone tote.

Cut the glare in the city or at the shore with these chic Tom Ford Vicky shades.

J McLaughlin’s Kingston Clutch is the perfect size when all you need is lipstick and license (or cab fare depending where you live).

This updated spin on red, white and blue will add a splash of color and pattern to any outfit.

Add an exotic touch of glam to your 4th with Roberto Cavalli’s gold-plated Swarovski crystal elephant ring! I know you’ll look great!!

  1. Some beautiful things for sure……we are headed to a friends house at the beach and I was just thinking yesterday about what to wear, but will probably stay safe and try to go thte navy and white route, can’t go wrong. Love that cincher belt, the Louboutin flats and the floppy hat amongst many other things…….stop by today, am doing a wonderful giveaway for a signed book.

  2. Love the “vintage” dressed up feel of your fashion for the fourth. So much better than that of a “baseball hat and flip flops!’ gasp!

  3. Great finds! I am all over the ST James scarf and J. Crew tote. Perfect for Newport! I want to try the Nars polish – a perfect red polish is so hard to match with my skin. Happy 4th!

  4. Great ideas for how to dress for the 4th! You’re right about the white pants or jeans, and after that any of those pretty accessories would be perfect. Have a great fourth of July!

  7. You pulled together a *wonderful* collection of goodies, I especially adore the Lanvin flats (as always) and the Kingston Clutch from JMac, it is such a great piece.

  8. I love so many of your picks and have a lot of them, lol! That red Oscar belt is just fabulous! But most likely I’ll be wearing white linen pants, a navy/white striped tee and red wrap bracelet. Things are pretty casual around here for the fourth. Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!

  11. OK, totally coveting that crazy ring! Even crazier is that this post is channeling my own outfit for the fourth (or rather the fireworks we are attending on the 2nd!) white jeans, navy top and a red bracelet that looks s much like the one you just featured!
