Soane Spring 2018
Twice a year, it has been my privilege to share with you sneak peeks from the beautiful new offerings of one of my favorite companies. For the Soane Spring 2018 collections, a combination of new furniture and fabrics shows off their handmade manufacturing expertise and historically based sensibilities.…

Bunny Williams Lighting for Currey & Company
Next week is the spring edition of High Point Market and while I won’t be attending, one of the debuts I will be sorry to miss is the new Bunny Williams Lighting collection for Currey & Company. Bunny has often incorporated Currey fixtures in her work and when designing the 2015 Southern Living Idea House in Charlottesville, VA, Currey generously donated all the lighting fixtures.…

Taking a break from Paris, I’d like to revisit Atlanta briefly to thank Currey & Company, who hosted me for a lovely cocktail reception in their newly expanded showroom.
With over 1,000 products, Currey had outgrown their 3,500 square feet but since doubling their space, they now have room to show all of their beautiful wares.…

Designed by Robert Bakes for his Hamptons based Bakes and Company, the room “marries the rich traditions of English cabinet making with a truly American sensibility.”…

Global Lighting Illuminated
How propitious that my guest post for Global Lighting appeared on the day that I am recovering from our fabulous #Jingletweet party (more on that next week).
Global Lighting is a wonderful source for European architectural lighting fixtures. As you know I am loving the mix of old and new lately, which we saw so much of on BlogTour2011 in London this fall.…

Trending at Tramshed
Another smaller show celebrating innovative design and authenticity was Tramshed. Located on Rivington Street in the heart of the artsy Shoreditch Design Triangle, this was the second year for the event during the London Design Festival. Although Tramshed offered many seminars and interactive lifestyle discussions, we just managed a quick whirlwind tour through the loft-like space to become familiar with some of the exhibitors. …
